The Town was able to find the perfect balance between telling a great story and exploring some very interesting relationship while still having some great action! First of all I have to give credit to Ben Affleck! He did an exceptional job with the Writing, Acting and Directing of the film! Every single actor in this film pulled of a great performance! Although the entire cast was good I think the two standouts were Obviously Ben and Jeremy Renner. I would not be surprised at all to see either of those names on the list come the Oscars. The story revolves around Ben's Character Doug Macray who is being pulled in many directions with his relationships and work. On one hand he is trying to leave his life of crime behind him to go away with his new girlfriend. On the other hand he is pulled by his lifelong friend James or Jem who is his brother in crime. I found the inner struggle of Doug very interesting. He had to try to balance these two parts of his life well trying to keep both secret. Then finally when the two sides clash e has to come to terms with the inevitable outcome of his life’s choices. I highly recommend the film and will be looking for it when the Oscar Nominations come around.
