Great Comedy directed by Herbert Ross from the smash Broadway play of the same name. Both Walter Matthau and George Burns were nominated for Oscars in separate categories, George Burns winning the supporting Oscar of the year. The cantankerous relationship of two ex-vaudevillians makes for some hilarious comedy and at times bits of serious drama. The screenplay by Neil Simon is brilliant, one of his best screenplays ever. Now this is an example of a movie that would be great viewing in 2016, dealing honestly with relationships of humankind.
