The Man Who Would Be King

John Huston wanted to make this film many years before as a vehicle for Humphrey Bogart but he was never given the green light. In this well thought out 1975 version beautifully scripted in part by Huston himself and directed by Huston, both Sean Connery and Michael Caine give alarmingly great performances as comrades who abandon their army duties to go on the most thrilling adventure of their life among native people. The film might leave you boggling at what is occurring.
