J. J. Abrams has made his best film to date and this may be to early to say, but to me Super 8 is a masterpiece. Abrams manages to strike the perfect balance between every single element of the film and produces a truly beautiful film. The acting is first-class, the action and special effects are magnificent, and Michael Giacchino needs to win his second Oscar with this score.
