I was really excited to see Steve Jobs. Aaron Sorkin is one of my favourite writers, and I love Danny Boyle and Michael Fassbender. I was also interested to see if Steve Jobs could finally be a good story for a film. Well, I can safely say that Steve Jobs is hands down one of the best films I've seen all year.
The acting all around is astounding. I bought Fassbender as Jobs. His accent was spot-on and he really portrayed the man how he was: an asshole. I'm expecting a Best Actor nomination, and maybe even a win! Seth Rogan and Kate Winslet were both amazing as well.
Steve Jobs has one of the best screenplays I've seen in years. Aaron Sorkin wrote yet another absorbing script with some of the most quotable dialogue I've EVER seen. There's a monologue from Woz that is utterly fantastic. There is very little action in Steve Jobs, but the captivating dialogue is constantly entertaining and interesting.
Danny Boyle directed this film beautifully. It is split into a very unique three-act structure and it works amazingly. It is also very well edited, had great cinematography and has a fantastic musical score. The costume design, makeup and characters are also excellent.
My only minor flaw with Steve Jobs is that there are occasionally pacing issues. It's barely noticeable, though.
Overall, Steve Jobs is one of the best written and acted films to come out in 2015. See it ASAP!
