A movie that brought back memories of the Mission with Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons though we are in a totally different part of the world. Though not a huge fan of Andrew Garfield, the film gave me such a sense of historical saga and wonderment in the realm of Christianiity in a non Christian country. The length did not bother me but I feel it was a huge mistake to release it so late in the year not giving voting members of Award groups time to really dwell on it and perceive its positive aspects. The film has been snubbed by the Golden Globes and Sag. Hopefully The Academy will be kinder to it. It certainly does deserve some love and nominations.
