I was so excited to see this movie. I am a complete musical junkie, so I thought it'd be great. I was highly disappointed. I honestly wanted to just sleep right there. I watched it, and I kept thinking oh, it'll pick up, it'll pick up, but nope. I don't recommend seeing this movie in theatres, rent it so you can fall alseep. Only good musical numbers were Cinema Italiano, and Be Italian. Everything else? BLAH. It seemed as though theytried to stretch an hour-long movie into two, so I wasn't impressed. The only reason I'm giving it a three is for the alright musical numbers. That's about it.

Obviously you don't know about Fellini and have never watched 8 1/2. This is a musical based on that - and definitely would not be for everybody. It is not a happy story - more of a frenzied quite strange thing in a beautiful way - alike many of Fellini's films. I really do recommend everyone rent 8 1/2 less you will be disappointed with the musical. If your namesake is anything like the movies and TV you are into - this would not be for you - avatar is probably a better fit.
