During World War II, while Europe is being devastated by bombs and Nazi invaders, two Italian masterpieces represent the way in which art curators saved various portraits and other artifacts from looters. An Italian version of 'Monuments Men.' Two young Fine Arts experts take it upon themselves to risk their lives to secrete various artistic treasures, away from the Reich's predatory eyes. After the Armistice, the artworks are saved from countless thieves and looters. With courage and dedication, these people have remained in the shadows of history, until now.
