This veritable Canadian treasure from Quebec is a stunning film of a youth and his uncle in a small mining town doing double duty to make ends meet. The film is simple but delivers a wallop of a message, one that is probably on everyone's mind more often than they think. The celebrated film took many awards at the time (1971) The feature would be a great way to introduce anglophones to qubécois cinema as it is not too difficult in terms of complex language.
