The 1935 treatment of Magnificent Obsession sees Dunne in a very dramatic role along with Robert Taylor in a decidedly melodramatic affair of accidents, doctors and love. The film is good, but completely overshadowed by the 1954 remake with Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson who had a tremendous success in this Universal/Ross Hunter film. I don't think Miss Irene Dunne ever gave a bad performance.
