Loose Change is controversial for those who believe in the official explanation of the 9/11 attacks as much as it is for those in the "9-11 Truth Movement." The film has evolved from its original version to a flashier presentation addressing errors and omissions from the suggestions by its popular following. Young filmmakers Dylan Avery, Korey Rowe and Jason Bermas created the film, which challenges the central dogma of the official story of 9/11, to have been initially explored through a fictional film about the conspiracy theories related to the events of 9/11. During Avery's research, he realized a documentary would be better suited to the task when he understood there was an actual cover-up. The film presents arguments that 9/11 was an inside job, and that elements within the United States government planned and orchestrated the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
