In this sweet French comedy, François (Jacques Tati) is a personable mailman who regularly chats to the neighbors while making his rounds. When a traveling circus stops in town, they show a film depicting the United States postal service as an organization of notable speed and accuracy. After hitting the bottle, François determines that he can be as good as any American mail carrier. The fun starts when he grabs his bike and tries to speed up his usually leisurely service.
