    Here Comes Mr. Jordan

This original production of "Mr Jordan" is still the best though Warren Beatty's version is not bad. It was a tremendous hit in 1941 and stars Robert Montgomery who dies in a plane crash, cremated... but it's all a mistake. His time is really not up. What to do? Well that is the film and it's great fun. Here Comes Mr. Jordan received six Oscar Nominations including one for Best Picture, Best (Robert Montgomery) Actor, Best Supporting Actor James Gleason, for direction and two writing awards. It's something different and delightful, something we unfortunately will never see today.
