Having Our Say tells the story of two sisters, 103-year-old Sadie (Carroll) and 101-year-old Bessie (Dee). When a reporter (Madigan) comes to interview the two ladies, Sadie and Bessie talk about how they overcame the racist Jim Crow laws, and how their parents handled the turbulent times with dignity and wisdom.
