"Who doesn't know how to get back home?" As children, Louay, Yazan and Rami used to play together in soccer fields inside the Yarmouk Palestinian camp, in Syria. As the war around Damascus intensified, they found shelter in the Borjel Barajneh camp, just outside Beirut, where today they are defending the colours of Al-Aqsa, the Palestinian team that represents their camp. Stefano, an Italian researcher and an Al-Aqsa soccer player, leads us inside the camp and into the daily life of one of his teammates. Marginalized by society and by the soccer system, the Palestinian and Syrian refugees pursue the remote chance of wearing the jersey of one of Lebanon's most famous teams. Footballization is a documentary shot in Syria, Lebanon and Palestine, where the dream of soccer intersects with the multiple life stories on and off the pitch.
