E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Still holds up, for me at least. Saw it as a child and then as an adult but I can see how others, who never had it as part of their childhood could wander what all the fuss is about. Seeing it as an adult, you see how slow paced it is and how about 20 minutes could have probably been chopped with no ill effect. The music is annoying, especially at the end. The effects still look good and if you can, avoid the re-mastered edition with its politically correct garbage changes (since regretted by Spielberg himself.)
