    Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid

A clever film directed by Carl Reiner and partly written by Steve Martin in this story of a gumshoe hired to solve a killing. The film is very innovative in blending the old with the new and yes, it is all the funnier when you have seen the source material. Steve and Rachel Ward work well together. He went on to be a gigantic star. She got lost somewhere in the shuffle. Sad!.. Great technique!
