This Richard Attenborough delightful film has Robert Downey Jr. in his first Oscar Nominated film as Charlie Chaplin during the magnificent years as the ' little tramp.' I loved the film but apparently it was received poorly by critics and public alike back in 1992. Robert Downey is simply magnificent as Chaplin, literally transforming himself into one of the biggest stars who ever lived. Chaplin's daughter with wife Oona, Geraldine Chaplin, has a very significant role in this film, all about her incomparable father! How ironic that this feature, about an actor who never had a failed film, did pretty poorly at the box office!
