A well made, well-acted, if skewed, account of the Iran hostage crisis. Former US president, Jimmy Carter, even stated during a televised interview that Canada was responsible for conceiving and implementing 90% of the plan this movie is based upon. Argo, however, glorifies the American 10% while belittling the Canadian efforts even to the point of mocking the "eh" word. The movie stands alone on its merits as a quality piece of filmwork but its pretentious and shameful manipulation of the true story is distasteful.
