I saw Antonia's Line specifically because it had won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film of 1995 and I was not disappointed. It's a film that has both good quirks and quarks that balance out beautifully to make a lovely picture. It is a film about humanity, a very realistic one, a touching one and often one that puts a smile on your face in a fascinating, intelligent manner.
