I choose to disregard this travesty in the timeline of movie legend Hannibal Lecter. Either Thomas Harris is completely senile or he has forgotten how to write. This movie is an abomination of the first order, a shameful backstory for one of the greatest fictional serial killers ever. Not only is the plot like Kill Bill without the fun, but the characters are as dull as dishwater and the movie's about as boring as a foreign word jumble. It does not warrant a penny of your money nor a second of your time.
