A different and refreshing movie on so many levels. It's not your generic, carbon copied, Hollywood-ized movie. Visually stunning with a thought provoking and profound message. I actually hadn't heard anything about the movie prior to seeing it. The only thing I knew before hand, was that it was done by the same Director of Requiem for a Dream. I didn't even know that Hugh Jackman was the lead in the movie. Jackman's performance was amazing, and I now have a new respect for him as an actor. He's not a one dimensional actor only capable of action roles, and this movie proves it. I'm amazed that others are giving it a 1 out of 10!? But I suppose that's the beauty of movies and their subjective nature. Don't let the 1 ratings fool you though. It should be viewed on the big screen in order to appreciate it visually. Go see it!
