Nothing in this movie is new. It's all been done before (I. E. The Perfect Storm, Titanic, the original Poseidon ) The movie does keep you entertained albeit there were times of ridiculous exageration that not even my imagination could except. It's worth catching on the BIG screen as long as you realize it's just a fancy more expensive remake of the original.
