A real peach of a movie and, to make it even better, a true story - wonderful!

A GREAT MOVIE, traveled 30 miles to see it with 3 friends we all loved it. Gives you hope, that as we get older we can still dream and those dreams, they just might come true, as they did for Burt in real life. I'm buying the move this one is a KEEPER.

Not a motorcycle movie! About a man and his dream. Go see it.

So much more than just a motorcycle movie, it's the epic journey of Burt Munro from Invercargill New Zealand to the Bonneville salt flats. An unbelievable story along with great acting, character development and cinematography make this a must see for everyone, not just the motorheads. The only down side is how few theatres are playing it. So track it down and enjoy!

What a great movie, too bad it's a limited release. Even though it was long, it didn't feel that way. 2 hours plus went by really quickly, because every scene was so interesting. I saw Anthony Hopkins promoting it and he said it was one of his favourites. Hope it gets re-released and nominated come Oscar time. Go see it while it's still playing, worth the admission - for all ages! (No violence, no swearing)

The rating of a 10 should really say it all... A Masterpiece, GO!, See it Now. My wife and I watch almost anything so we have seen a lot of bad movies and good movies. This movie was fantastic. We are already planning on buying the DVD and have recommended it to all our friends. You will not be sorry!

Burt is able to charm everyone he meets, and he is a good person, if somewhat eccentric. He accepts other people and is non-judgmental of his acquaintances. His passion and perseverance are inspirational. It is one of the best movies I have seen.

This is an excellent movie. Go for the amazing story, the well-written script, the superb acting performances (especially Hopkins) and the very funny supporting characters (tina is hilarious! ) It's an uplifting movie, very refreshing.

Anothony Hopkins did some pretty scary movies, but in this movie he is a really mellow guy. Yes there are two messages he gives us in this story. You have to have a passion for something in your life. In his case it was for speed and motor bikes. The second message he gives us is that you have to have determination and you can make your dreams come true. This is an excellent movie for the whole familly and especially nice to take a retired parent to see and give them hope and determination.

A remarkable film, very touching. Anthony Hopkins does it by himself in a performance that should be seen and recognized. The shots of the landscapes in Utah (and parts of the Rockies I would imagine) were outstanding. Anybody with a cool and witty grandfather will really enjoy Hopkins' performance and the inspirational story of Bert Munro.

Two poor things about this terrific movie were the title and the distribution! I only walked in since it stared Anthony Hopkins! I had no idea what it was about nor had I heard anything about it. To my great fortune I did see it and I can only recommend every one should see this remarkable and inspirational movie.

I met Burt in 1971 at Wendover, UT during an interview he granted fellow AMA employee Rick Kocks. When watching the movie I kept thinking that the craft ole Burt re-incarnated himself as Anthony Hopkiins.

Anthony Hopkins was brilliant in this endearing and action-packed movie. For every misfortune, something good came out of it and for everyone he met from all walks of life on his journey, there was an amazing exchange. All were inspired by Burt Munro's unrelentless quest to make his dream a reality. A real feel good movie from start to finish and when it was over, the audience clapped and were reluctant to leave the theatre... hoping for more. I will definitely see it when it premières in Canada and buy the movie once it is available. One of the best I have seen in a long time and even moreso because it is a true story. We couldn't wait after I read the preview on here so we saw it when we went to the Easyrider's Bikeshow in Ohio.

A rare story about a rare man. A feel good story made all the better because its real. A chance for the dreams of our youth to kick at ageing and norms of conduct. Anthony Hopkins is at his best in this character study of Burt Munroe. Its about speed but the movie is slow moving as life was likely like in the 60s and 70s in conservative New Zealand. Nothing however is conservative about Burt Monroe, if your a motor head you'll see why... but you don't have to be speed freak to enjoy this movie... don't worry you'll still get the odd glimpse of scenic New Zealand and a good close up look at the Utah Salt flats... a wonderful peice of history preservation.

I saw this movie on a Air New Zealand flight from Auckland last month. It had a forword given by Anthony Hopkins. In it he proclaims it as..."the best movie" he has ever done. I would have to agree it was great! The story is wonderful, a little part of kiwi history forgotten with time. Hopkins plays the part of Burt Munro perfectly. The cast also did their bit too, but Hopkins makes the film. You will swear you knew Burt personally by end. The movie is a must for motorheads and 2wheel nuts, however the story and acting is strong enough to captivate anyone. Go see it! I will again.

An amazing story of a man who wouldn't give up his childhood dreams! He lived a simple life in Down Under, New Jersey and when he went to America he discovered that people lived diferently and life wasn't as simple as he was used to, makeing friends everywhere he went Burt set a new world record and acomplished what he had dreamed of all of his life! This movie is not only for motorcycle fans but fr everyone else (including children) it'll make you laugh and cry but the ending will have you in tears of joy! This is defenently a 5 star movie that deserves to be seen by the world!

Burt said: ‘You live more on this bike in five minutes, than some people do in a whole lifetime 'Based on a true story this film is delightful, touching and sometimes funny. Hats off to you Burt Munro!

Superbly acted by Anthony Hopkins and supporting staff. A must for 2 and 4 wheel fans. A little long on pre-race and a little short on post-race - otherwise excellent.
