Loved it! The Mother steals the show. Witty touching and funny. Hoping to see many nominations at the Genies. A great Canadian Movie to be seen by (almost) all.

This is a first-class romantic comedy. I personally enjoyed it much better than Big Fat Greek Wedding - of course there are cliches and sterotypes that are fairly predictable. However, it has witty lines, great actors - and the moment when the main character kisses his boyfriend at the wedding is the best romantic kiss I've seen on-screen in the last few years. The imaginary friend theme - usually witty, sometimes over the top... Go see it, you won't regret it!

In the mood for every conceivable stereotype, the same tired formula "family shock" about a 30 year olds sexuality, predictable dialogue? This is the movie for you! I must say there were some cute moments but overall too boring and not believable in any way shape or form.

My Favorite movie of the summer. Greats lines and plenty of humour throughout. Seen it 4 times and would love to see again.

Funny. Warm fantasy but brings home some zingers. Listen closley. Breat lines. Retorts abound.

Sue Mathew as the Mom is wonderful (and gorgeous), but there isn't anything original about the story, and most of the dialogue is unexceptional. But worst of all, the lead character is a DRIP! How to care about his angst when you don't care about him!? THAT is the problem. If you're not Indian Canadian, a struggle to watch.

This is the kind of movie that sorts the gentle-hearted from the cynics. It's a fantasy... don't go expecting it to be a slice of real life (after all, how many Muslim weddings include two men openly kissing?! ) - but therein lies its charm. It's witty, especially if you appreciate dry and sometimes razor-sharp British humour, and has moments of true sensitivity that anyone with a heart can relate to, gay or otherwise. Excellent acting throughout, especially Alim's mother. You don't even have to know anything about Cary Grant to enjoy a beautiful voyage into the world of imaginary friends versus the very real-world of secrets, commitment and family ties.

Great movie. Lots of fun. It's similar to Mambo Italian but the Indian version. It's worth the money and time to go see it. Suleika Mathew (the mother)steals the show. Enjoy!!

What a great movie! The humour in this flick, at times must be found by the viewer... very funny stuff, the MOM is too much at times! I saw this with my gay sister, and we both walked out feeling like both our needs had been met. How close it is to the real thing (I. E. Indian wedding rituals) I have no idea, but it was fun to spend a couple of hours watching and learning. Found the Cary Grant angle started to wear on my nerves...

Wonderful movie - warm and funny. The family interactions ring true and are quite well done. Surprisingly good.

I call this "Ethnic Satire", and if that sort appeals to you, as it does to me, then its worth the watch. However, I strongly suggest waiting for the dvd as the big screen did not enhance the picture.

It's sad how this movie tries to manipulate audiences with another poorly done romantic gay comedy. Even if Mr. Maclahan succeeds in his characterization of Cary Grant, the idea is out of context and gets tiresome very early in movie. The humor is so forced, it almost seems that it was written out of watching a "Will and Grace" marathon, minus the laugh tracks. Some of the photography is good, but, altogether, the anecdote offers nothing new, in fact it's been done so many times that no one would pick this one out of a video store shelf for anything.

I hadn't seen a movie as good as "Touch of Pink" in a long time. Very touching story between a boy, his mother, his partner and I may say his 'friend'. Ighbal Rashid has brought the subject of the homosexual population so good into this motion picture that I have never seen anything like that before. Some might say the story was streotype, but the comedy was not - in no way. So if you want to have an hour and a half of laughter and a few sheds of tear and emotion, for sure see "Touch of Pink".

I think there was a lot of humour in this movie and the idea was very good, I found it little too modern for me at times, but did enjoy it.

This movie was good fun and really does have some great lines. Watch for "lactose intolerant" too. I wondered if Carry Grants accent was that extreme so thanks to spoodles.

This movie has the wittiest, best lines I have heard in a long time -- Suleika Mathew (the mother) is a revelation and is perfect in her role. She gets off the best line of all -- something about a baby grand piano, watch for it. Kyle Maclachlan is also very good as Cary Grant -- couldn't believe he got all the mannerisms and clipped accent perfectly! The director also captures the true essence of Indian weddings -- with all the class/crass competitiveness, emphasis on how much jewellery has been acquired (the flashier and more golden, the better), etc. Definitely go see!!!
