I loved this movie! I'm not a fan of romantic comedies, as a matter of fact, I don't like anything romantic, but this movie was great, funny, touching, it's one of the best comedies of the year.

Well, I went to this movie only because of Kate Hudson (she's one of my favorite actress), so it means that the storyline isn't that impressive. But it's not bad, good choice if you wanna see a comedy with a little drama touch.

OK, I don't get it when people say it's bad. Actually, it isn't that masterpiece, but, still, a very nice movie! Funny, cute, Kate Hudson was great there. Especially I loved the girl, she looks like me, is the same age as me and acts exactly like me in my teenagerhood.

In this day in age with most movies dealing with murder, sci-fi and thrillers, this movie was entertaining and heart warming. The movie shows how a family bonded before and after a tragedy and how each member deals with the new challenges that they face everyday. It is a romantic comedy that I enjoyed.

This movie was ok, but wasn't that funny. Nothing really original, so I recommend to wait until it goes out on dvd at your videostore. Still Kate Hudson is a good actrice but again we see her with a glamourous job like her previous movie.

I loved this movie. I thought it was going to be too choosy but I loved that there was a drama mixed in with the comedy. Great date movie or just a good feel good way to spend a night.

RAISING HELEN is not a masterpiece that can change the state of cinematography, however, the director GARY (Pretty Woman) MARSHALL once again hands over to the audience a film that is worth the price of admission. The children in the film are perfectly suited actors with strong characters (not just annoying backdrops) This film may easily be mistaken as a summer chick flick. It is not. You’ll spend an interesting 130 minutes laughing and getting attached to the characters in this film. JOAN CUSSAK delivers a great controlled supporting performance and KATE HUDSON is as cute, sweet and as perfectly comedic as her mother (GOLDIE HAWN) during her prime.

I must say that this movie surprised me. I really didn't expect much from it - but kleenex was needed. It was a very touching story that brings to the forfront family values, that we consider important today. I highly recomend it to everyone - and it really isn't a chick flick.

Went with my 11 year old, who loooved it. Entertaining certainly, and about what I expected. Nice performance from Hudson, kids; Joan Cusack really nailed the bossy, tough love, secretly sensitive older sister character - great performance from her.

Not half as bad as I expected. It's good fun and has some very entertaining moments. The acting is solid and the script is believable. Not the best movie I've seen this month, but no worse than Van Helsing!

I was actually quite charmed by Kate Hudson in this movie. She has quite an engaging personality. I found this movie to be excellent. The interactions between the kids and Kate is phenomenal and convincing. A good movie with good values and a great conclusion. I found joans' character (Kate's sister in the movie) to be a bit overplayed as the perfect mother but ohh well what can you do!

Kate Hudson can't pick a good script to save her life, except for "Almost Famous". Go rent that one and skip this junk.

I rather enjoyed this movie a lot. Kate Hudson once again steals your heart in a character that coincidentally now resembles her real life a lot. The story is predictable, but as are most comedies in the history of comedies. I thought the humor and drama balance was perfect and the actors really gave great performances. Go see it.

This was a gentle-hearted movie with appealing leads. No great depth, but who goes to one of these for that? Just pleasant, fun, escape stuff.

I thought that this was a cute movie. It was funny at parts, sad at parts, and overall pretty good. It is definitely a good movie for couples, friends or familys. It is worth seeing!! I left the movie theatre with a smile on. Go see it!! If you like romantic comedies, you won't regret it.

Had potential but director/writers totally blew it. Relationships between characters are not well developed so the plot has no emotional impact - it's neither sad nor funny when Helen's sister dies, when she worries about loosing her neices affection when she has to discipline her, when the kid's school principal starts romancing her. Acting by Kate Hudson and the kids is fine - all 4 of them are cute and appealing. Joan Cusak & John Corbett are miscast - she doesn't get to be funny and he's incapable of it. (But then again, I havn't seen John Corbett in any role that I found believable since Northern Exposure)

Kate Hudson is good in the movie but the story doesn't pull at your heartstrings like it should. Too predictable, it could have had a better plot.

I found this movie quite boring and I don't know why people are saying it was funny -- there was very little laughter in the theatre. I don't recommend seeing this unless you are a) under 13 years old or b) you are already at the theatre and all other movies are sold out! Not recommended.

This movie was enjoyable but a bit too cliched for my liking. You know how it's going to end well before the halfway mark. Both Kate Hudson and Joan Cusak were very good but at around the same time, both my movie partner and I looked at each other and wondered why it seemed to be running so long.
