Typical slow-motion, camera-trick, CGI-laden action flick that starts off great and ends up pretty forgettable. I still say The Rock has it in him to be one of the greatest action stars of our time, but Seann William Scott is and always will be Stifler. It's like looking at Mark Hamill and trying not to think of Luke Skywalker; it can't be done. The story is pretty dull, and most of the characters are as cardboard as a pizza box. Some of the fight scenes are great, but most of them get bogged down in lightning-fast zooms and jerky camera tricks and slow-motion, wannabe-Matrix effects. Some of the computer graphics are downright obvious, and it hurts the believability of the movie. I wasn't quite sure what the message was in relation to guns; this movie was either sponsored by the NRA or their opponents, I can't make up my mind. Anyway, don't rush out to see it, even though there isn't much else out there right now. Even Cold Creek Manor and Matchstick Men were better. Oh yeah, P. S. Vince MacMahon (that scum-sucking wrestler slavelord) executive-produced this, that should say it all right?
