I really liked this movie, a kind of feel good movie and laugh at some things that go as you age but making do with it in a comical way.

A very good movie. A good study of the effects of aging and the family dynamic. I think there are some nice subtleties, that will leave you thinking long after you have left the theatre. Very well acted by Frank Langella!

It is a good movie, not the best out there right now, but it is a solid choice. The thing is that it is an odd story, but not a bad one. It will grow on you fast if only because it is intriguing. If you miss it in theaters, do rent it.

I felt there could have been more humor... the idea was good. Frank Langella was great, but the rest of the actors were just so, so and Liv Tyler plain horrible. Did she go to the Keanu Reeves school of acting?

This is a gentle movie, with tender moments, well acted by all involved, including the robot ;) except for the daughter Madison who has an annoying one-tone shrieking voice and recites lines with no emotions. The beginning slow pace is designed to make us understand what the main character is going through but interesting surprises are waiting for us toward the end. Came out smiling.

What a great surprise this movie was for me. I kept putting it off, and finally had a chance to see it. All of the acting is superb, the story is original and captivating, and the ending was M. Knight-ish. There were lots of good laughs in there, as well. I can't wait to get a robot like that, too! A really great movie that tackles a tough subject without the viewer feeling crappy about it.

Better than I expected and Frank Langella was terrific. What a great talented actor he is. Loved the surprise ending. The robot voice by actor Peter Sargarrs was pretty good.

A great movie; smart, funny, emotional and very entertaining. Frank Langella is a great actor, very good performance. Susan Sarandon as good as always. The story was very interesting, new and entertaining. Conversation between Frank and the robot, funny!!

Wonderful storytelling, never knew what direction the movie was going to take next. Heartwarming and exciting. I did not have high hopes for this film, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The script is well-written, funny and unpredictable but sensible. Frank Langella is a legend for a reason.

A great story about the bond that develops between a robot and his master. Quite nicely written as you really do start and identify the robot with certain human qualities.

What a wonderful surprise. I read good reviews and received double points for seeing this film so what the hay. Everyone in the film did their job very well. A great way to spend an afternoon.

I always enjoy Frank Langella and Susan Sarandon and neither disappoints. A great premise and worth seeing but the writing was very weak and some of the story didn't hold together.

There are many layers to this movie. I think that is why it has received numerous critical acclaims. On the surface, it is about a previously haughty burglar developing memory issues, then supported by family, and out of all things, a robot, tries to recapture his memory and ability as a burglar. But there are many deep layers to the movie... it is about our humanity, it is about how we see and approach ourselves as we age. Everyone has a different experience, but we can relate so well to the actor as he goes through the idiosyncrasies of aging. What do we really value? How do we retribute the mistakes we have made? How then, does that compare with an inanimate robot? Brilliant film.

Frank Langella was the draw for us. Frost/Nixon showed a consumate actor at work. Both he and Susan Sarandon made yeoman efforts in this weakly written movie. An interesting premise but the actors were let down badly by an inchoate and confusing script. The most interesting part was the end titles which showed the existing domestic robots in action.

Great movie for people who have a grandfather or for someone who thinks they could relate to this movie. It has a good unexpected twist which wraps up the movie well. Also, this movie makes the younger crowd think about the future when they get older hehe Good realism on the robot. It doesn't feel unrealistic to have the robot in the picture. This movie is funny and has some parts which are a bit emotional. Overall, it's a great indie movie! Good for people who want something new and different.

I liked the interaction between the robot and the main character. Otherwise the movie was fairly standard off the shelf writing. Interesting to see for the shape of things to come in twenty years.

Touching and endearing. The main character and that of the robot surprisingly, are well defined. Others are more peripheral and could have been explored in greater depth. Still, all and all a very good movie.

Funny and touching portrait of a man who regains some of his previous interest and capacity in life once a personal robot is introduced. A wonderful exploration of the impact of dementia/alzheimers.
