A pleasant surprise. A low budget movie that doesn't show any of the signs of being low budget and is more enjoyable that most of its big budget counterparts. Some of the dialogue comes off as unnatural but it's not a big deal.

An entertaining, fun, funny movie.

It was good however it was kinda limited. As interesting as it was with some good laughs here and there it could have use a little something-something. But it was not boring.

This movie was so stupid. Worst movie ever!

A light hearted, fun movie that made me smile. Has humour, car romance, and sorry boys (nudity is actually limited - although I'll even admit, highly entertaining) I enjoyed it. It has been awhile since I have seen a film that balances the humour between script and plot. It also had original humour via the couple's natural rapport and numerous scenes with situational irony. I recommend checking it out as a fun date night.

I was apprehensive before going to see this movie. But I actually enjoyed it. Goofy and fun. I was entertained. Not a blockbuster or cult classic by any means, but if you are looking for a fun time with some fun action, this is worth seeing.

Good movie. Seemed a little short, and Bradley Cooper could have been in it a little more, but would recommend it to others.

Really entertaining, good fun movie. Nothing too dark or complicated, lots of fun chases, goofy characters. Totally better than I expected. We only went to this one because of the start time, but we left pleased with the movie.

I really enjoy the movie, and how was surprise how talented Dax is behind the lens.

Action packed & funny. Obviously not realistic but a good time at the theatre.

Pretty standard fare. It's been a few days and I barely remember the movie. Dax flip flopped between endearing and annoying (especially his southern drawl) from one scene to the next. Written by same and cast his real wife so do the math!

Hardly worth your time, in fact, not worth your time. Sappy love story, bad comedy between action scenes. A really poorly made film made by an even worse writer. I should have got my money back and then some.

Very boring... 40 minutes into it and left... Slow, slow and SURE not much of a story in 40 minutes. Bad choice on my part for a night out with the girls. Sorry.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
So, I bought a ticket to see Premium Rush, and ended up in this theatre by accident. I didn't notice until it was too late to see the other, so I saw this one. It was ok, nothing special, or original. The last twenty minutes was disappointing. It played out as a bad car commercial. I'm not sure who wrote the car chase scene where a Cadillac station-wagon with three passengers keeps up to a Corvette, but yikes. Really gets away from itself at the end. Worth a watch as a rental.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Old jokes, the promotion of living a degenerate lifestyle, lousy action scenes. I had to leave halfway through. Terrible. Simply terrible, in every way.

I absolutely hate comedies. It's always the same thing and the jokes are always so stupid. But this movie, I loved. The jokes weren't stupid they were actually reasonable and there was a lot of action. I love Dax Shepard's movies for that reason. It's a comedy but they aren't stupid.

I thought it was good because the action in it and about his past with certain people that were after him and his girlfriend, I would see it again.

I was at the Toronto Premiere so, did have the pay for the passes and I'm glad! This movie was made as an excuse for Dax to drive, drive, drive! Story was very weak. Kristen Bell was her cute self. Was expecting more but it never delivered.

Thought this was supposed to be comedy, but very few laughs. Really hard to get into this movie. Cheesy at times. Not really worth the price to get in.

Well I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually pretty good. Where plot is lacking, they make up with endearing characters. Nothing special, but worth seeing.

It was very entertaining, action packed, good driving races, funny, entertaining, best funny film hands down, Bradley Cooper was a gift, Kristen Bell funny and brave, I will see the next one any time.

I enjoyed it but that was solely due to the performances of the main characters... except Tom Arnold. His character added nothing to the movie and didn't need to exist at all. I suspect he was written in because he put up some production cash but his attempt at slapstick was horrid. Sheppard and Bell had a great, easy rapport. The plot was made up as they went along but it was a lighthearted romp and worth the cheap night ticket.

When this movie started, it was kind of slow and I was not sure if it was going to get better, but it did. It's funny, action, nice cast and good music. Dax Shepard did a good job acting and as a writer. Bradley Cooper was cool too, a different role that we've never seen before.

Why do people go to this type of movie and then rag on it? It was not advertised as an Oscar nominee!! It is what it is and does a good job of being just that - a car chase movie with action. If that is what you are looking for then you will love it - if not, go see something else instead of whining about the film being exactly as it is portrayed in all the advertising and write-ups.

I really like Dax Sheppard but the dialogue in this movie is horrendous - there are alot of good actors here (excluding Tom Arnold - so annoying), but the script & dialogue do not help them at all. The only scene I laughed at was the motel room full of naked old-timers (twice) - who were they? Daxs' relatives? Wish I could give this movie a big fat zero butt... plus I paid 14.99$ (prices went up) for this piece of garbage.

I enjoyed this movie. I am a fan of Dax Shepard. It is a love story with so much meaning and so is so much fun to watch with some unexpected hilarious scenes. This movie has a lot of laughs and... just go and see it if you want to relax, laugh and enjoy.

I knew it was going to be bad, but I had to go see it with my wife. It turns out I underestimated just how bad it was going to be. Inane lectures (watered down with high speed car chases), gratuitous nudity and profanity, absurd plot, this was the epitomy of ridiculousness. I could barely catch my breath before I had to cringe again. It was a good reminder why I stopped going to the movies years ago (if anything good could be said about it)

I have followed Dax Shepard from early in his career and in this movie, his particular take on life and love really benefits from his improved writing. It is tighter, it is more consistently funny, he has just the right amount of surprises and a more cohesive story that is, and this isn't always important to me, more accessible and likable by a wider audience. His directing can't be faulted, he gets fantastic performances, especially from Kristen Bell, he lets Bradley Cooper off the chain a bit, and I'm not sure if it is all good, but it is a side we don't see often. I saw this the same day I watched Premium Rush, and this was by far my favorite, Mr. Shepard is adorable and charming and he usually doesn't play to those strengths, but in this movie he does in his own way and you will soon find out why I have been following him, waiting for a gem like this to come along. I know there are more like this up your sleeve as a writer and an actor and I hope you keep getting your movies made, oh, and thanks for using Mr. Arnold in the minimal capacity that you had the good sense to do! Keep 'em coming! One thing missing, I often look forward to the credits with a Dax Shepard movie, and his use of music in general, that was missing here, a small thing for most, but in a couple of his 'flicks' they held equal weight in humour and fun as the movie itself! So, don't forget that if you can next time, you have a knack for giving the movie goer one last feel good reason for having watched, I watch 'Let's Go to Prison' just for the credits sometimes and get very angry when whatever movie channel I see it on decide to cut it short!

I see at least three films a month and this was without a doubt the worst. I never write reviews but was compelled after seeing this movie to write and give it a one. Language and nudity do not offend me however bad acting poor dialogue do.

Action comedy, very funny, will make one of the best car movies as well. I would see it over and over again (the comments of the other viewers are seconded:)) and will definitely get a DVD once it becomes available.

One of the most annoying predictable movies ever. The music was the only redeeming factor. Too much Dax involvement.

It was a fun movie for the summer time. Nothing great but the story of the making of the movie is also pretty good. Cost 2 Million to make and uses all of Dax Shepard's cars. First time a low budget movie is distributed in 3000 theatres across North America.

My 14 year old son and I saw Hit and Run at an advanced premiere. It was a good movie, funny and fast paced. The casting was great, Kristen Bell is a total sweetheart and Dax Shepard is rather endearing as well. Eye candy Bradley Cooper has a very different role and it's fun to see him play a less esthetically pleasing character. Definite laughs and some unexpected hilarity. My 14 year old would probably rate this higher than I did, but we both really liked it.
