If you are unaware that this movie is an adaption of Romeo and Juliet you have not looked far enough.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED this movie!!! It is my new favorite! It's so sweet I came out wanting a zombie boyfriend! :)

Funny and witty. Not going to win any acting awards. But still a go see if you enjoy goofball movies. Entertaining.

This movie was okay. Really can not undertand the 8/10 overall rating that is posted. It was a way to spend an hour and a half, but it's nothing to write home about.

This promised to be just another zombie movie but the black humour was just priceless. Giggled all the way through.

I didn't want to go to this movie initially, then I saw the movie and realized that I was right... slightly boring and unrealistic.
| 5/10 | trevordool@ - 9 reviews 8.4.2013 - age: 36-49 |
Now my favorite movie! I absolutely loved it. Go see it.

Best zombie romantic comedy I've ever seen. Mind you, it's the only one I've ever seen. It's up there with Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland but not quite on their level. It's okay but nothing that will make you go wow, that was amazing. If you like zombies and romantic comedies, you could do worse.

Good solid zombie film with a twist. Great movie adaptation of the novel. Nicely acted and entertaining movie for this genre.
| 9/10 | lclayburn@ - 7 reviews 1.4.2013 - age: 36-49 |
Wasnt what I was expecting. Not great, but not bad either. Worth a look, as long as it's on a cheap night... or free.

"Warm Bodies" is more than just a new spin on zombie films, it's also a pretty sweet love story with some interesting characters and an interesting take on the "Romeo and Juliet" type of romance. Some fans of zombie films will dismiss this from the premise alone. They'll say "I can get down with the zombies eating people, but I don't know about this love stuff" and if brain eating, undead corpses that walk the earth is what you're looking for, there's a lot of that going on. At the beginning, you're not really supposed to like the undead and it can get pretty freaky seeing them aimlessly roaming, looking for flesh to devour. The movie also does a good job shedding some insight on how these types of zombies work, what they do during the day, why they eat flesh and what goes on in their skulls. Even though most of the dialogue from these guys is just grunting and moaning, they still manage to get a personality so they're more than just legions of undead there to pose an obstacle for the living protagonists, they actually feel like characters that are important to the plot. Don't worry about them all being nice and friendly either, there are some genuinely "bad" zombies here you won't want to give a hug to. Not into the zombie thing? Well maybe the "Romeo and Juliet" aspect will intrigue you. Think those two lovers had it rough? Well at least the Capulets didn't eat the Montague's brains! We get some good drama here and some pretty good chemistry as the couple has to learn to live and trust each other, while neither are really sure anything will really work. As an audience member, you cheer for both people for different reasons, while still thinking to yourself that at any moment, the whole thing could end in tragedy. The love plot feels genuine and the conflicts that emerge feel like they make sense. Unlike those bad romantic comedies you've seen before, the characters act logically and there aren't any stupid misunderstandings that could be solved if everyone sat down and talked. Originality isn't the only good thing it's got going for it though. The characters are fun and memorable, the acting is good, the makeup is convincing without being too grotesque (so just in that middle of being nasty and being too subtle), there's some big laughs and some moments that will warm your heart. You'll be happy to see these characters interact with each other because the movie takes the time to develop their personalities and relationships. It's a smart, well made movie that's actually trying something different. You should take a chance like the people who put "Warm Bodies" together did and go for the zom-rom-com; you'll be glad you did. (theatrical version, February 21, 2013)

Not a bad zombie movie with a unique story line. If zombies scare you, then this movie might still be watchable. Since there is not a lot of gore.

A slight comical twist on a dytopian situation; Great idea, filmed well; Though labeled a comedy, it is, only in the sense of irony; Operates on the sense all things should have a happy ending; Overall left fulfilled though.

Well, I went into this movie thinking this was a pretty stupid premise but I came out surprisingly satisfied. I am guessing a good part of that was due to a highly attractive lead actress but I think the story was good enough to push it through as well. I will admit, it starts off weak and will immediately turn off zombie-lovers (this is the first zombie movie that I have ever seen that will appeal more to non-zombie lovers than the fanbase), but it picks up. It does away with a good part of common zombie lore and makes up some new stuff, which is a nice touch and other movies that have attempted this (Pontypool) have not been as successful. I think, for me, a good part was that it was very uplifting and I've grown used to the more depressing world of The Walking Dead so this was a great change of pace for me. The little winks to Romeo & Juliet were cute too. Overall, I really liked this movie.

Very touching story, and comical. His changes could have been done a bit better, but they are credible. They also stick in a message about how we live our lives now.

Different strokes for different folks, but I really don't understand the reviews here. Romeo and Juliet with Zombies? Give me a break. The theatre was full on a Friday night and I only heard three or four slight chuckles from the audience throughout the entire film. I wouldn't watch this on cable.

Movie sucks. Not a good point, half the movie doesn't even have people talking. Definitely not something I'd watch again.

It has been a long time I haven't seen such a boring , script-less movie. Complete waste of money and time. The only curious fact is that most of the scenes were set in Montreal so you might see someone you know or a corner you have been last week... other than that, please choose something else.

Warm bodies was a great movie! Loved it so much, it was funny, and not a corny love story. You must watch now!
| 10/10 | eric_tocaj@ - 2 reviews 10.3.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Warm Bodies is "Romeo and Juliet" in a zombie apocalypse. It's a wonderfully creative concept, where the ending is reversed from the original Shakespearean tragedy. It is what you wished for with the original Romeo and Juliet story! The movie has many laugh-out-loud moments and even though the main character is a zombie, you're really rooting for him to win his young lover's heart. There's even a balcony scene! Warm Bodies is one of the few movies that I immediately wanted to see a second time. The writers and director did an amazing job and I believe this movie will be a future cult classic.

Oh I thought this movie was awesome- such a great idea using the point of view of the zombie. I laughed so much, as did almost everyone else who was watching this fairly packed movie. The people who weren't were probably zombies themselves! Go see it - it's a sweet, funny movie good for a date or good while out alone.

Oh, this is so sweet. Almost like the Twilight film with Walking Dead coming to life when they fall in love. Touching, sentimental and very romantic.

First half hour held my attention, but then it became predictable and slow. Would appeal to the tween crowd.
| 6/10 | parttimepainter@ - 76 reviews 4.3.2013 - age: 36-49 |
I think that this movie is good enough to become a "cult" movie like Rocky Horror Show. The story is incredibly original but it is a disguised critique or a metaphor of our society. The zombie guy is brilliant.."don't be creepy". I guess teenagers must say that all the time when they go out on dates. The female actress is really cute... the soundtrack is great... great views of Montreal but they built a wall around Downtown. I'm outside the wall which makes me a zombie... I could relate to that poor zombie actually... well done. It's a love story in an unusual setting with an ending that shows hope.

I'm not into zombie movies, but this is an interesting version. You could say they are mocking these type of movies. The zombies are well made!! A lot of fun, don't miss it!

Amazing movie <3 :) If you're thinking about seeing it, go! Mind you, older people probably wouldn't like it , considering that it's aimed to teenagers and young adults.
