I love this movie! It is the best step up movie yet! Anyone can watch this movie and see the awesome talnet in this movie!! The chemistry between the two lead actors is... WOW.

It keeps you wanting more, the dance scenes are just great.

The contents of this film (and others of this franchise) is often polarizing. The dance sequences are often very ingenious and spectacular to look at, and in some cases even elegant. However, the script could have used some work, as the plot serves only to move story forward but not much else. There's nothing to dislike about the movie but there's nothing really substantial here. It's full of attractive people who are generally nice who are actually trying to do the right thing. The few that do misbehave are not exactly malicious and they do redeem themselves. Bottom line: watch it for the talented dancers.

I loved this movie, it was so vibrant, intense, new images, loved the Art show with the people coming out of the pictures and displays. Sean's story I thought was more a part of the movie than Emily coming to town. The music and the dancing was so upbeat and thrilling. I came out of the the moving very happy. Come parted to all of the other Step Up movies. I Put Step Up 4 Revolution #1. Thank You.

This movie is the best dance movie I have ever seen and the people I went with agree with me 100%. Even the people who didn't want to see this movie didn't want to miss a second of it.

I loved this movie. It is by far the best Step Up to date. The dancing was absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend this movie.

An excellent movie, acting and especially dancing were great!

After seeing this movie I so would like to experience a flash mob dance. This movie is art. Modern and creative. Loved it.
| 9/10 | idonda@ - 35 reviews 5.9.2012 - age: 50+ |
Difficult to rate, for the dancing a big 10, for the story probably a 3, but I went to watch it for the dancing not the story. If you love "So you think you can dance", then you will also love this movie, there are a few contestant from the show including the female lead. The choreography are amazing.

There are so many AMAZING DANCES. However, the acting, romance and storyline are so so.
| 8/10 | canary28185@ - 137 reviews 16.8.2012 - age: 26-35 |
I've seen worse but I still did not like this movie. Kathryn McCormick is gorgeous and helps makes her scenes enjoyable (whoever did her hair & make-up in her first scene should get an Academy Award), but there just isn't enough to this movie to make it worth it. I think it might be the first "dance" movie I've gone to see... willingly. There wasn't enough of the style of dance that I like to keep me interested throughout. What's happened to Mia Michaels?! I saw her on So You Think You Can Dance a few years ago and it looks like she's aged a ton. Yikes. What a bizarre cameo to have in this movie too. Even if someone offers to pay for you to see this, don't. It's just not worth it. Not the worst movie of the year or anything, but it just isn't anything good. The 3-D was completely useless in this and I'm amazed I paid 3$ extra for it.

Omg I felt like dancing right after I saw this movie and I just felt so alive, I saw it with my older sister and thought about starting my own flash mob dance crew, I know in my dreams but dancing is also a passion of mine, plus the guy in this movie he is too good looking, bottom line loved it, go see it, you'll love, you will love the people that told you to see it, and you haven't lived till you felt the beauty of this film, great job on this film.

Awesome! Loved it, not only is the story good and the dancing, but Moose is in it at the end but it makes the movie incredible, every part.

What I think is great about this movie: 1. Creativity - wow! Some of the best dance sequences I've ever seen. 2. Visuals - alive with color and beauty - and beautiful people! Living art dances, corporate inspired dances, etc. - all beautiful to watch. 3.3D - great to see - great use of helicopter rides over beautiful Miami docks - both day and night - like being there on vacation. 4. Story - yes, I liked the story :) - it's the classic story of having to follow your dreams - or just give up altogether. Please see this movie while it is in theatres - the movie is beautiful to experience - and 3D makes you a part of it. Cant wait to see it again.

I haven't seen any of the other movies, but it was a good movie to see with my friends. I loved the dance sequences, but the plot wasn't terribly creative. It has a good message. If you like watching dancing, then it's a good movie to see! :)

You rock! A creative masterpiece with a definite message using powerful choreography; dance at its best in modern times. This film is not just for dancers. If you are passionate about dance and about our current issues re corporate vs the working class, you will be simply amazed. The flash mob concept was a perfect idea as a form of communication and revolution. It surprised me at every turn and made me want to get up and dance. My favorite scene was the great costuming and matching dance steps in the forefront of the corporate tower. The step ups have gotten better and better and this one is really a statement of our times and not so unrealistic when you look around the world. There will be more revolutions against injustice. It's up to the young ones to start paving the way. Ballet, modern, latin, funk and hip hop dance at their best were some of the expressions done so artfully, making a social commentary with every move. The 3-D helped to energize, motivate and inspire you to be part of something bigger than yourself and it all literally leaped out at you-Great!! The talent here was phenomenal and how diligent these dancers must have been; it's an understatement. I'm sure to see it again and buy the soundtrack; great music. It makes you want to get up and dance and at the end the audience clapped and danced; from very young to much older. Who says it has to be for teens? You are as young as you feel and as your passions allow. The movie made me cry and laugh in exhaltation for many reasons. If you really want to feel ALIVE, go see this non-stop masterpiece.

Out of the Step Up series I actually think this was the best one, pretty good story and the dancing was just fantastic. If you are a fan of dance movies, you should really check it out.

I was a dancer in my teens and twenties, now a few decades back, but that helps me to relate to this movie I think on a somewhat deeper level than the rather simple plot might for most. From the perspective of a dancer, there is indeed much to be admired in this movie. I dare say, I near wept at the last sequence. If you love dance, this movie is a must see.

In terms of dance moves, this installment is almost at par with the second one. Step Up Revolution is deemed as the best of the 4 movies because it showcases more urban dance steps than the other Step Up. The producers need to lose the unbearable corny storyline and start making dance documentaries out of this franchise.

This movie Rocked! I went to see this with my 13 yr old and we both loved it. It has a great story line and the dancing was beyond excellent. I would recommend this movie, great to see on the big screen and it was good in 3D.
| 9/10 | tcoull@ - first review 5.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Very creative and artistic dance sequences. It's all about the dancing. This genre doesn't promise great acting, so you have to forgive the performances a little. The story's credible enough though I think.

Spectacular! I've watched all the step up movies but this one is by far the best. First, the dances are well incorporated in the story then the dancers have more acting talent. Each choreography brings a new theme and brings new moves. I enjoyed it a lot. A must see for any fan of "dance movie".

This movie is awesome. I am going to see the movie for the third time with friends. The choreography is just phenomenal. The concept to stand up for those who do not have a voice is simply novel. I highly recommend you to go and watch.

Best dance movie ever! So good, that I'm going again with different friends 'cause they have to see this. Story line is simple & predictable, but the actors are good. Well worth seeing!
| 8/10 | meryljd@ - first review 2.8.2012 - age: 36-49 |
WOW, just WOW! So I didn't see the first few movies before this one and I just loved this movie! The dancing was so amazing, the music was amazing, the acting, well there was no real acting in it, so I can't really say if it's good or bad. In the movie, the acting does not matter, it's a dancing movie and not an acting one, so just enjoy it. Not a movie you want to miss!
