I was expecting much better from Imtiaz Ali. One of his biggest blunders was casting Nargis Fakhri, a complete non-actor. I guess he thought we'd be too busy ogling her super-duper hotness and not notice the pitiful attempts at emoting. She's not in the movie that much, but to be convinced of the attraction between her and Ranbir, you need a convincing portrayal of someone Rocker-dude would be so enamored with. Ranbir, most of the supporting cast and AR Rahman's music are awesome, but that's not enough to redeem this over-long film. Enjoy the music CD instead.
