Most people liked the movie because of the books, I didn't read the books. They wanted to do too much with the time restriction of the movie. You don't get to know the characters in the movie, it's going to fast, even the main characters. Except she has a sister, a mother, a father died, and she lived in district 12. The focus is all on the hunger games, which wasn't that impressive. The action scenes where they fight you don't see anything, the camera is moving too fast. You don't see a love connection developing between the 2 contestants of District 12, and then suddendly after an announcement that there could be 2 winners, they actually like each other, and kissed? As I said not enough character development. They should have put less special effects, and put more effort to the story. I like the concept though, I'm going the read the books. I hope they do a lot better with the next one.
