Called a 'psychological thriller', this film displays beautifully how one can lose control of their judgement and their sanity through brainwashing. Although a first-timer in an adult role, Elizabeth Olson seldom missed a step in her performance, and John Hawkes' portrayal of the creepy, charismatic cult leader may get him an Oscar nomination.
