A solid Cinderella story. Mechanically played out though. We are not given to feel all the emotions that this feat deserves. Monotonous and superficial. Monotonous: as is the sport it portrays, meaning baseball. I must reveal myself here, the only time I attended a major league game I fell asleep for 7 innings. Superficial: other than Pitts’ character, all others are one dimensional, even the magician behind all this. Wait for the DVD.
