A very witty and enjoyable film, starring the delightful Greta Gerwig (Greenberg) It was great to see Adam Brody again too (The O. C.) It's difficult to categorize this film because it has such original dialogue and doesn't seem to be set in any particular time period (it could be the 50's or a kinder, gentler version of today) I viewed it as a satire of college life and young adulthood, when everything seems magnified and young people have such expectations of what their futures will be. The film may seem to be making light of depression, but I think it's just satirizing how a young person may feel like everything's the end of the world, but when given some perspective realize that things are really not that horrible. If one has an appreciation for films that are filled with witty dialogue and have an assortment of odd but endearing characters, then this is a film for you. It also helps to have a good sense of humour!
