This movie was really scary. I liked this movie because the story was really nice but very afraid. The young actress was amazing in her character. I believed she was possess for real. The music in this film was good and perfect for the mood. In the scene where Emily, the youngest girl was possess, the music was so terrified and perfect for the scene. Also the actions scenes were nice and likely. When Emily does something like turn her eyes, I believed it so much and I thought that's not only a movie, that's so creepy. In addiction, the only thing in this film what I didn't like was their costumes, they were so ugly. This movie was worth seeing because if you love horror movie you would like it for sure.

I'm glad I saw it. It was interesting and had its goosebumps moments and people forget that it's based on somewhat true stories that actually happened but for those who are disbelievers you are lucky. Until something occurs to a love one and only then will open your eyes for what it is. Until then I understand where you come from for now. Hence he saying :"Seeing is believing".

No characterization or real plot or, for that matter, much of a story. No attempt to make any connection between the people in the film with those in the audience. Based on Hebrew mythology it was interesting but not much more.

A very good movie, well made, good special effects, good sound, some freaky scary moments. The only thing that I did not like was the end, too predictable. Almost a 9 from me.

It was an excellent movie I suggest people see. My favorite part is when she says EMILY'S NOT HERE RIGHT NOW!!! And when she was on the ceiling.

Wow! Talk about a movie that was hair-raising and made you want to grab onto the arms of your seat. I must concur this was a pretty decent show, even better than some of the other possession flicks I've seen in recent years. I thought it had a surprisingly good storyline... very unique. Considering that this was based on a true story, I decided to read up on it and do the research. I was surprised to learn that the movie version's events to the story are actually not that far off base to that of the real one. Sure, there are a few inaccuracies, but Hollywood horror directors seem to like adding extra stuff to make something more entertaining and appealing to the audience. Aside from that, I found that the acting was very good in this picture, the dialogue really interesting as well. I thought Natasha Calis's creepy performance was remarkable as Em. She was really quite convincing to me as a young girl demonically possessed. You couldn't help but notice too that Calis seems to have that natural dark aura which is why I thought she was well suited for the role. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was also tremendous as playing the father. All the other supporting cast did a notable job as well. The movie's limited special effects are good for what they are, but we also get an incredibly effective music score... very creepy, and unsettling I might add. Cinematography is exceptional, and the editing is pretty good too. As someone who loves horror flicks, "The Possession" has good jump scares and images that will stay with you. It especially gets a lot scarier near the end with the actual presence of the evil spirit. Keep in mind this picture is violent (at times), disturbing, and just outright freaky... definitely not for the faint of heart. Overall, great entertainment and well worth the admission price. Two thumbs up.

Not much else playing this weekend. Decided to check this one out. As far as Horror movies go this one was ok. I've seen worse that's for sure.

There was always something happening, very suspenseful and pleasing. Great storyline, if you research dibbuk box before you see the movie and read some of the history and why it became famous then some parts of the movie make sense. Great movie.

Let me start off by saying that this movie wasn't horrible. It had some really great, but undeveloped concepts. I love the idea with combining religious lore with the supernatural, and really some of the greatest horror films have religious ties to them. The Exorcist? Carrie? Excellent. However, because of the loose ends, and undeveloped story lines, the film really fell flat. They should have skipped on the cheesy CGI and built on the atmospheric eerines of the film. It started off well, but as the story progressed, the more predictable it became.

Wow reading some reviews here makes me think some ppl dont really remember what horror movies are supposed to be like, it was such a boring movie, I think finding nemo 3d is more scary than this movie, makes me wonder if we are ever going to get a real horror movie that is actually scary... the movie is such a waste of money and time, the best part of the movie is when it ends. It feels like the director just picked pieces of what made other horror movies actually scary and just tries too hard to make it work that it ends up being bland and boring. Now if you get scared with a movie like this then you have some problems. My sister that happens to be 10 was laughing the whole time, when stuff like that happens you know the movie is really bad...

Well it's not scary at all, it kinda for kids, I like the movie but I'll say is more of a thriller than horror film... I'll wait to see this movie at home maybe midnight maybe it'll add something of spooky to it... and it's seems that jewish demons ain't scary at all.

I am a horror movie fan and I really liked this one. The acting of the little girl was really good, there were definitely jump-outta-your-seat moments and the length of the movie was perfect for this type of film. My 14 year old son liked the movie too and was quite spooked by it, I'd recommend it if you like horror movies. Also it was nice to finally see Kyra Sedgwick in a movie, haven't seen much of here as of late.

Great show! I enjoyed the story, the cast was great. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole movie. I got shivers down my spine throughout the show. Very believable. A breath of fresh air, not some cheesy plot or a some pathetic slasher movie. I will purchase show and see again at the theatre. Don't miss it!!!

Terrible movie... bad acting... if you've seen the Exorcist then you'll find this movie to be a waste of time. Really one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Couldn't wait for it to finish. I would have walked out but I was with others who wanted to suffer to the end.

Cool & scary movie, and for all you people who don't know what your talking about, this has nothing to do with any other exorcist movie, this is based on the true story of the dibbuk box which really exists dating back to holocaust. Causing bad luck and even death to who ever has it in their possession. After being past on from person to person a jewish rabbi took it and put it away so no one else would be harmed by the box.

TERRIBLE. I don't understand how this boring movie got such great reviews! Sooo predictable in every way. Almost everyone in the audience, including me, couldn't restrain from laughing. I was expecting it to be decent. Don't bother! Stay home and watch The Exorcist instead.

Boring! Don't waste your time or money on this re-hashed Exorcist. The Exorcist was superior in every way to this snoozer. Not scary at all and very predictable. Almost fell asleep a few times! For the people who said it's the best movie they have ever seen I feel sorry for you. You need to see more movies!

It was scary to me and it made me think that it could happen in real life. There were a few spots in the show that were "yawners" but otherwise it was well worth the price of admission. It did not have a hair raising scary plot like "The Exorcist", but it still kept my attention right to the end.
