Kept my attention the whole way through. Just the right amount of humor to lighten the mood. Sweet action scenes.

Witty, less darker than MI3, keeps you on your toes like MI2. Good acting skills, great FX and I mean, Tom Cruise, doing his own stunts for that scene at the Burj Khalifa, definitely a must-see. One of the best action movies I've seen in a year.

Get ready to turn off your brain and see tons of great action. If that's what you're looking for, this is the perfect movie for you.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
When it’s over, Tom Cruise looks in top form returning as secret agent, Ethan Hunt. In this fourth installment, the tensions between the US and Russia are high, and when the Kremlin is bombed, the IMF is implicated leaving the US President no choice but to declare Ghost Protocol leaving Hunt and his team unaided. The team goes rogue and must continue their mission to stop a terrorist from using nuclear weapons against the US. Joining the team are Jeremy Renner as William Brandt and Paula Patton as Jane Carter, both delivering solid performances. Simon Pegg returns as Benji, the computer wizard who has been promoted from desk job to field officer. Benji adds just the right amount of humor and comic relief to make MI – GP from drowning itself in too much action. This film was non-stop from beginning to end with just enough breathing space to get the story told as the plot hopped from one continent to another. The stunts were impressive especially the chase scene in the sand storm in Dubai and the car factory extravaganza in Mumbai. These lengthy scenes were very well choreographed and thought out. I can’t recall the last time I saw stunts that expertly put together. And of course, no spy film would be complete without the gadgets, and this film had a slew of cool stuff that sets the bar for future spy thrillers.

Great Movie. Packed with action and some nail biting scenes.

I loved the different stunts and twists. I found it a bit confusing at times and I found it too long. Overall a good movie.

Plot was written on the back of a napkin; dialogue was even worse. Trailer gives it way too much credit.

Saw it 4 times and loved every action packed minute... never a dull moment.

Great movie, full of suspense and adventure. A must-see movie.

In good keeping with Mission Impossible movies! Love Tom Cruise.
| 7/10 | doditi@ - 18 reviews 28.3.2012 - age: 50+ |
I am not a fan of the Mission Impossible movies, I did not like the first two and the third one was barely entertaining. But Ghost Protocol was amazing!!! The best mission so far.

I must pen this (my 1st) film review to share my enjoyment of this film. I'm fond of espionage films for the Hi-Tech Spy inventions & weaponry; as much as I delight in the Plot twists in the MI franchise! But I was very pleased to see a new side of Ethan Hunt! I was elated to learn that not only did he have a romantic interest but that he made severe personal sacrifices to ensure that his beloved was unknown to any of potential enemies; as he loved her from afar! Extremely believable & very well done!

Great and entertaining movie. You'll have fun watching it.

Wow this Movie was Amazing, it had lots of Action and lots of cool stunts and it has very nice Locations.

First, I have to say that this is not generally my type of movie. I'm not a Tom Cruise fan, and I'm not an action thriller movie fan either. So if I give this movie an 8 it's because it was way better than I was expecting. The scenery is amazing, the gadgets are cool, and the acting is good. Many of the stunts are over the top, but that's to be expected. Go and enjoy!

Undeniable stunts, controllable musical scoring and amazing plot and it's a realistic story...

Finally it seems Cruise was able to share the spotlight a little more in this one. While it was a little lighter than the third movie the humour was fun and well placed. While nothing compares to the first MI movie this was well done and quite entertaining.

I really liked this movie! It is an excellent movie and for sure a must-see. It is great to be reminded that you can make a popcorn flick that is actually fantastic. Far and away the best Mission Impossible so far, this one has it all. Tom Cruise is actually quite likeable and this is the first movie I've ever enjoyed Simon Pegg in as well. I actually hope to see more of this Cruise, the movie-star one, in the future. Surprisingly emotional ending as well, was not expecting that. Wow.

This movie was action packed, humorous and left you wanting more! Tom Cruise was spectacular and the overall acting was great. Some of the action sequences left me quite literally on the edge of my seat. Great movie, highly recommended for those who enjoy a good action flic.

A real surprise, much better than the second and third one. Will keep you engaged from the beginning to the end.

Tom Cruise does it again. MI: Ghost Protocol is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. Showcasing Tom's incredible physicality while maintaining an unbelievable pace makes this movie one of the best in the series so far. I highly recommend MI 4.
| 9/10 | harley17gordon@ - 171 reviews 12.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
Absolutely loved it... time flew by so fast with all the action and suspense. A must see definitely for all the true action fans.
| 10/10 | faridr23@ - 8 reviews 7.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Entertaining action romp. Some seriously funny chase scenes. The last 5 minutes of the movie are beyond stupid, keeping with the long MI tradition of lack of motivating logic, where the authors confuse "creepy/awful" behavior for "romantic", but as long as you check your brain at the door, nice actioner.
| 7/10 | runte@ - 3 reviews 5.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
It was better than expected. I'd say it's a better movie then some of the other first 3.
| 7/10 | nayrmaclean@ - 37 reviews 4.2.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Loved this entertaining movie, especially on IMAX. The panoramic viewing enhanced the storyline. Enjoyed the pace & would like to see it again.

It wasn't the best movie, but it was the best of the series I believe. Lots of action, lots of Tom Cruise! Good story... but very "Hollywood"
| 7/10 | ej_raccoon@ - 3 reviews 3.2.2012 - age: 18-25 |
The formula as usual. Having seen most of the films playing that I wanted to see and not being impressed by the new offerings, I decided to go for eye candy and leave my brain at the door. Unfortunately, the latter came to join me anyway and at that point everything unraveled. Critics claimed that this 4th outing in the series was the best, which doesn’t bode well for the previous ones which I didn’t bother to see. As a teen, I loved this TV series with often well thought out stories. What I liked most of M-I on tv was the way they used every day objets in innovating ways to great effect. But in this film, we are in super effects to fill the eye, especially in Imax, along with doubtful tools. Everything in fact to try to mask an improbable story. Tom Cruise shows us once again his depth by playing Tom Cruise as usual, as he did in so many films before. It gets tiring in the end. He plays this intrepid and invincible American hero who fears nothing, save pretending the fear of heights to pretend to be comical. I could hardly wait for the end of this.

The movie was excellent! It had a GREAT storyline and it was chok-full of action and adventure! Tom Cruise was fantastic in this movie and the end was PERFECT!

I'm 17 years old, and I was a little hesitant to see this movie because I've never been the biggest fan of the Mission Impossible series but I saw it with my family and I must say, not only did it blow my expectations out of the water, but it was the best Mission Impossible movie out of them all. I'm going to see it again. It may be one of my favourite movies of all time!
| 10/10 | meganr@ - first review 2.2.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Wow. The only thing that could have brought it higher would have been watching it with a huge audience on the weekend for the added charge of a room full of gasps and laughs. Fantastic!
| 10/10 | firelantern@ - 6 reviews 1.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
This is possibly the best entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise. Though the story is not stellar, the action sequences are beyond spectacular. Whether it's Cruise scaling the tallest skyscraper or chasing a villain through a sandstorm, these sequences are well worth the price of admission.
| 8/10 | kcdc@ - 12 reviews 1.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Lot's of action, somewhat believable which is good enough for me. Tom Cruise is great and the scenery is amazing. Not to much CGI which I love and pure action at its finest. Definitely worth the money.
| 8/10 | mikelomanno@ - first review 1.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It was over the edge and just too much of a good thing. Everything was thrown into this movie and it was overwhelming. Any of the individual story lines would have made a good story by itself. Tom Cruise was good but it is now time for him to move on to more serious roles.
| 7/10 | realtorrachel@ - 23 reviews 1.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
Lots of action but too many unbelievable activities and scenes. Science fiction is better as at least we know it supposed to be far fetched. There are a lot better movies around to spend your money on.

I didn't plan on seeing another Mission Impossible movie because they were all pretty much similar to each other and didn't go in with high expectations, but this one was actually pretty good and entertaining. Had some funny moments and a better cast. Of course there were many unrealistic scenes, but that is what the movie is about. This was the best Mission Impossible than the previous ones.
| 8/10 | yss49@ - 9 reviews 28.1.2012 - age: 26-35 |
A great action-packed film with amazing special effects! But I have to say, it didn't top the older MI movies for me.

| 8/10 | terry_264@ - 2 reviews 25.1.2012 - age: 18-25 |
I'm completely shocked... somehow, this turned out to be a good, shut off your brain, entertaining movie. Tom Cruise didn't monopolize every scene like I expected... it was almost a real ensemble movie. The interactions between the case members makes the movie... and Cruise even lets himself be the butt of some jokes. Of course, the action scenes were completely unrealistic... but it's mission impossible... that's kind of the theme of the tv series... much less the movies. So, yah... unless you really, really hate Tom Cruise... go see it. You will probably enjoy it. I did.
