If you would like to see a sensitive and beautiful film about a spiritual journey, you will probably enjoy this film. It helps if you have read the book on which the story is based. Having visited the exotic destinations will also inform your viewing. Just don't expect your own enlightenment to turn out this splendidly unless you resemble either like Julia Roberts or like the equally attractive author of the book. Fashionably pretty women have more options and opportunities than other mere mortals so let's remember that. If you would prefer an action film with some good explosions, car-chases and donnybrooks, spend your money elsewhere. Personally, I loved this film but it's not for everyone and it's definitely not a blockbuster.
