I think that Jeff Bridges will have a lock on the Best Actor academy award, his performance is brilliant and somehow he completely avoids you ever thinking of him as Big Lebowski even though he's over dischevelled in this film. Robert Duvall is fantastic as well, as is the music in the movie. I hope Jeff Bridges himself sings one of them at the Academy Awards (maybe even with Colin Farrell? ) I mean I hate country music and yet I loved every song in this movie, it's not a musical though so don't worry. It's a great love story and slice of life piece. I'd say this movie is to Jeff Bridges as The Wrestler is to Mickey Rourke. The fact that Bridges can make Bad Blake a likeable character is pretty amazing. Definitely recommended.
