What an insane and pathetic bunch of people! And the patriarch was in the news recently saying that if any of his staff voted for Obama, they'd all be fired. Nice guy... but watch the movie for yourself and see. A bigger bunch of self-absorbed, self-important, arrogant, egotistical people you'll never find.

An 8 because it is so much better than the sci-fi/violent flicks... or cliched films at the large corporate theatres. This really illustrates how money comes... and goes. Every real-estate junkie needs to see this. Well done. Interesting to watch.

It was as much about people as it was this completely over the top ridiculous mansion. The filmmaker kept a remarkably even hand and did not exploit the family despite the her subjects. The relationship between the husband and wife was fascinating but terribly sad. Men like Siegel wield power, political and otherwise, in our societies and the reality of what goes in their home and within the family is a stark contrast to the personal values they promote in public. PS* Sorry to see the AMC Forum go to the very overpriced Cineplex Corp. It's really the end of competition amongst movie theatres downtown. Good for the Dollar Cinema and other alternative venues, though.

Just saw the movie. Interesting but not worth seeing in a theater.

This is a documentary that is worth while seeing if you are trying to be rich or if you are a social climber. I actually hated it, while I was watching, it was slow and very predictable. However, I think that the movie sends a message and a good one. My advice is to get pop corn and drink, you can enjoy it meanwhile.

Brilliant in parts in a way that could only happen in real life. You wouldn't believe it if it were scripted. Really entertaining look at tacky, excessive materialism and the American uber-rich. Go see it!

Seen this last week and it was very disappointing indeed! Thought it would deal with Versailles, Frances and thereby learn about France. No, Plain garbage!!! Would NOT recommend it!

If you question yourself about how much money one person needs or if more money makes you happier, this one is definitely a must see.

Informative, can draw a lot of lessons out of the story.

A good documentary, with a great message. It shows how materialistic people are nowadays, specially in the States. But nothing is forever; life has ups and downs. I think Jackie Siegel is a loving person, she really loves her husband. On the other side David Siegel, like his daughter mentions in the movie, married Jackie just to show her off. He doesn't care about his wife, family or kids. He is just a materialistic person who thinks nothing but work. Very sad. Those kids had everything but the love of a father.

A nine because the Writer/Director deserves an Oscar for being able to show the complete dysfunction of the American Dream from the Nannies to the Federal Gov't and everyone in between; all in one documentary. Simply amazing!!

Never a dull moment. A quite from the movie: "if you can't be rich, the next option is feel like one". While expecting kind of boring documentary it was fun and light movie worth watching.

Wow!! This should be a "must see" film for everyone... so many lessons and reminders packed into it... about money, family, dreams, tricks of the trade as far as "time-sharing" goes etc. etc... and this story still has not ended.

I really enjoyed this movie and was impressed with David and Jackie Siegel. Just "ordinary" people loosing tons money during the economic downfall of the USA.

Pretty much illustrates what went wrong in the 2008 crash... overspending, undersaving. Somewhat sad to see the family waiting for their father to pass away so they can sell off assets and spend more money. A sequel will come out one day about the fight for the father's estate no doubt. I hope he leaves his spoiled wife and kids nothing and gives it all to charity.

Really enjoyed this movie. It's a great look at a family that is obsessed with material things. It made me appreciate living simply even more, and had me re-thinking some of my own financial choices. Some parts are laugh out loud stupid yet the 'Queen' still comes across as a sweet, though misguided person.

Fascinating insight into very complex and interesting people, business and government.

I thought it would be a freak show. The documentary is about family, dreams, and the fallout from the financial crisis. It captures the strange world this family lives in without bias and did not feel scripted in any way. Well done.

An Incredible Documentary that everyone should see. It's real life and heartbreaking. It follows the life of a family that is so real in America and everywhere today. Just follow the messages. I think it is great that they shared their lives to the public to learn from their heartbreak. I do feel bad for all of the people that invested and got taken for all of their money.
