Its truely a master piece in its gernre... This story of love... so strong, gets back memories of Romeo n Juliet... The story makes beleive that love is immortal... n the screen play makes beleive that angels do exist... want to see some more of these... But master peices are made often but they mould up quite rarely...

This is one movie that has irony in almost every angle. But then, it also provokes your emotions into what love really is. [...] But the most important thing that the movie teaches is the value of life and love. They may not equate in a way that we could understand, but that is just the way it is.

This is one of the most extrodinary movie I have ever seen. For it's way of interpreting the message sent from the heaven to tell what love is. If u want to know, whether u love someone or not, watch the movie and ask your self, can u sacrifice as much as Cage have done.

This is a very delightful movie. Great performances by Cage, Ryan, and Franz. A truly original idea---from Wim Wenders, of course. Yes, another Hollywood copycat, this time from Wenders' classic 'Winds of Desire'. But I must add that it is a formidable remake. What we witness here is the beauty of life and how wonderful the soul really is. We get such an extraordinary and sane interpretation of what angels really are. We realise how precious it is to be human and to have all the human faculties that make us a unique creature. While there is much unnecessary religious reference, the movie still manages to hold its own. What helps is a marvelous and touching opening scene when Nicholas Cage, an angel, needs to take the soul from the operating room. The mood of this movie is sensational. What prevents me from declaring it an absolute must-see is the unsatisfactory ending. That's where the movie becomes predictable. I would rather recommend the original German 'Wings of Desire' as a bona fide classic and definite must-see.

In case you didn't know this movie is a remake of a German movie called "wings of desire" but it's not less perfect, it has one of the best stories I ever seen or heard, it's a must see for every one.

A great film loved it from begining to end. The end was very sad when Meg Ryan died.

I would rather have one breath of her hair one kiss of her mouth one touch of her hand than the eternity without it, just one.

If I'd have an invisible stalker, it would be Nicolas Cage! City of angels is heartwarming and tragic.
