If you must see this piece of crap end of the world movie see it on DVD and don't waste your money.

I believe this movie is not just about the physical survival of the earth, or merely the horror of the spectacular and cataclysmic effects that happen in the movie, but the critics that put down this movie may be missing that it is trying to tell the story of us trying to save the "Humanity" within us all, (not just the physical part of humanity) Great film.

Dont't miss it. This is a awesome movie after the "The Day After tomorrow".

Good movie, would see it again! But they really have to stop with the whole concept of Noah and the ark! It's boring and annoying! Good story line, makes you relise what global warming is doing to our planet. "that's a big ship! It's russin." lol loved that line!

I will say this only once: "SAVE YOURSELF!! DONT SEE THIS MOVIE!!" Every disaster movie cliche seems to be hit by this director and yet people still go and seem his stuff, like me,.. stupid me... because we want to see a good disaster movie and the trailers look so goood, and yet we know underneath its going to be poo... and it was. So I'm really stupid... To help you understand my feelings: Acting = 0/10 Effects = 5/10,.. really. Good sequencing but nothing looked real enough for me still. You can tell its 'effects' that you are watching and the magic is gone. Add all that incredulous ducking and diving and the effects had no believability to them at all. Script = 'What script? ///... didnt they just make those terrible lines up as they went along.. ? Plot = So boring & slow, almost grinded to a hault on more than one occasion; due to terrible side story about characters you just couldnt care any less about. One of the kids names was 'Noah',... just made me feel weak to see the lameness,.. painfully obvious and pointless reference to nothing of any gravity what-so-ever. Ooh they mean 'Noah' in the BIBLE!! You spooked me man! Just another weak attempt by this sickly movie... Annoying kids, actors etc... just awful. Wats-his-name,.. the lead... John Cussack? What a souless actor, not that he had great lines to deliver but him going "Waaahhh!" and "Whhhoooaaa!!" whilst flying through impossible narrow and falling stuff made him look ridiculous,.. been done so many times, theres just no fun watching that kind of thing reprized every-time. No mention of Neburu either or the Sumarians, what a waste of time for the serious 2012 followers. Oh yeh, it turned into a really stupid 'Poseidon Adventure' rehash for the last 3rd,.. Ships? You've got to be kidding me... yaaawn... I knew when I saw that bit that the movie was about to sink to even lower depths... (pun intended) One thing though, and this is why I gave it a '1'.. it made me really tired and I'm ready for a good ole sleep after that yawn-fest.

This is a raw raw raise the american flag, very poor acting, poor story and great f/x... movie. Expected so much more... too bad.

Very exciting movie. Special effects are fantastic! It's a fairly long movie, but the time went amazingly fast. Do "not" take Young children to see this film -it is too scary for them. I would give it a 9, but the Lord's name was taken in vain quite a few times, which I don't care for.

Really good on the special effects, but the story is so so, the usual no sense out of reality action which is nothing new.

Damm that was boring, weve waited in a long line for 30 minuts on friday with high expectations. I knew there was gonna be cheesy moments cuz of the director but DAMM the whole movie is people crying and expressing their love and blablablabla, all the good explosions part are in the preview don't waste your money or your time there is way much better movies right now.

It was too long and the limousine scene was so unreal that it took me out of the action... I want my money back...

It was oookkk but not more than that. Pathetich ending and a lot of hollywood cliche... Im not too scared of 2012... never was and now am even less.. actually not at all.

Worth a watch if you're really into special effects and armageddon type movies. Very predictable. If you're looking for a good story line and plot, this is not your cup of tea.

Do not waste your money. I Sooo wanted to like this movie! It could have been great, but unfortunately it SUCKED! Both my husband and I were very dissappointed. It seems to have been scripted for the stupid, gullible, naive people. Anyone with a brain will be insulted by this movie. The acting is terrible, the story line is totally ridiculous. How many one in a million/defying all odds streake of luck are we supposed to believe can happen to one person? The scene where the woman almost dies trying to save her stupid dog, while meanwhile millions of people are dying, was insulting to humanity.

Great movie and had some funny moments.

This movie is so predictable, pretentious, pro-American (excessively), waaay to long, cliché and very Walt Disney-like. I know what you think : The special effects are at least worth the 12$ your gonna pay for it. No, they aren't. This movie isn't even worth the DVD rental.

First of all, this is the "disaster movie" to end all disaster movies. It has the best special effects I have ever seen in that regard and is truly a grandiose production never going short of the most exquisite shooting, beautiful cinematography and just a pleasure to watch. Now, with regards to the story, it's nice. You find yourself cheering for the unlikely hero that John's character plays. I saw unlikely because of the circumstances around what makes of him a hero in the end. Regardless, John is a gifted actor in all regards, making his presence seem effortless on the screen. I was truly impressed to see his acting. Altogether, I hardly think yo'd have to think twice about a movie like this. If youre thinking of seeing it. Don't think. Run.

SOme parts of the movie are really ridiculous, especially Anotonov plane flying on only 1/2 engines for miles and miles, plz, the thing is so friggin heavy, it would fall after losing only 2 engines. The main characters shouldve died at least 50 times over, surviving a A-bomb like explosion) etc... makes it incredibly stupid I admit! Howevere, I didn't go in there to see a LOGICAL movie with only scientific-approved facts, I went in there to see a world get destroyed and I have to say I'm dissapointed, I mean seriously Afric remains intact WTF? Anyways, I give this movie a 8/10, Special effects, the time it lasted was well worth my money however the realism in the movie is just stupid! Think about it, if NASA feels the need to tell people that its all fiction, it can only say that something in the movie IS real! They just dont want to say it to the people, the very same way you see it in the movie! As for the people posting stupid comments liek: worst movie ever, I'm sure they never even saw the movie in the first ppace, if they cant elaborate, give some explanations, constructive facts then these same peopel should just HUSH and abstain from posting ANY comments. Please be constructive, even if you hate the movie, its all good! Please stop exagerating like saying OMG 10/10 best ever or 1/10 worst ever... Nuf said! Enjoy the movie!

Great movie. Lots of action! Really makes you think!

The movie was horrible, it was supposed to be a disaster movie, there wasn't even close to enough disaster and violence.

Don't expect much of a storyline, just nice CGI, and destruction.

Boring storyline, weak script. The only worth to see in this movie is the special effect. Could be better if they made it in 3D. If you have nothing to do then go see this movie. But it kinda long about 2hrs, my back was killing me during I watched this movie plus I have a crazy girl sat next to me was cried every disaster scenes, ^$%^%$^$ annoying!

This movie did have much of a story but in regard to special effects, you'll get your money worth.
