This film happened to be a documentary which I found to be quite remarkable to go and see. I found out tha it had won at the Jamaican film Festival. It had chronicles of the rich and culture roots of calypso musin in Trinidad and Tobago. The characteers here in this film had made this film to become quite a success and had made it to b e quite an effective story. There was history which had showed the explanation of Calipson social contact and also even impression section on the role of women in Calypso. The whole documentary to me was a bout the feelings that calypso itself creaates the art in all its compexities. The famous actor Harry Belefonte had said here in this film that it is all ppoetry. What as amazing that th the directors ability to present the charcters. One is poignant reminded of bygone days when Calypso characters emerged from the music. It showed the lovely costumes just as you see in todays society here in Montreal when the parade is on.
