There wasn't much that was beautiful about this movie, in fact, the messages were fairly ugly. And Minnie Driver's redemption was a sham, she still won, despite lying, cheating, turning her back on her child and her friend for years, but hey, at least she looked good. I know what this film was trying to say, but it missed, dismally. It had some good spots, but generally it was about as good as a real Miss America pagent.
