There's some parts that are just a bit cheesy and some parts are rather abrupt. The acting wasn't all that great and some of the special effects were ninny-ish. I don't like how they completely changed some scenes. I'm not a big fan of the Twilight series, but I have read the books and I can say that the book is better. However I will say that the music was pretty good, especially in the car crash scene.

I was forced to watch this and all I saw was film making at its worst.

It's has been a long time since another Vampire movie came out. Very intersting storyline and plot. Must say that it was entertaining yet something almost lacking. Like the whole truth was not there. Still not bad. Favourite scene that plays on my mind is the Cullen family game.

This is everything I wanted to see and more. I love the romance and the way it makes you feel young again. It makes me feel like a teen before all the problems of the world come crashing on you once you become an adult and have some misfortune. Too bad guys can't be like some of the characters. Were totally missing the gentleman thing in our world, happy we get at least some of the fantasy in the movie!

I am writing this review of Twilight after having just seen New Moon, which I think in comparison is the better of the two. Twilight does a credible job of covering the novel, but as is usually the case, the film cannot go into nearly the same depth of emotion that is conveyed in writing. It was entertaining, but some of the casting and acting left me shaking my head. However, the actors do a better job in the second movie, so maybe they just needed a bit more time and perspective to start to "nail" their roles. When completed, the whole series will probably hang together better than the separate movies judged in isolation. Harry Potter is also in the same boat.

Obviously the worst movie of all time. Bella is boring, a horrid actress, selfish, whiny and ungrateful. EdTURD, I mean Edward, is a creepy, ugly, pedophilic stalker. This had no plot whatsoever, and has put feminism backwards, say, fifty years. If this was released in the sixties, there would be protests outside the theatres. What kind of messages does it send to girls? Run around with guys who put you in danger! This promotes abusive relationships! It's worse than the godawful novels, which is possibly the worst book of all time.

It was really good, you know when your just about to leave the movie theater and you feel like nothing happened, that the two hours never happened! Well thatss what happened with me because its so awesome! I dont know how Stephanie Meyer had the idea to write that! Its unbaliavibly great! I'm speachless! Well I'm going to see new moon with my friends and I'm sure that I'm not wasting my money! :P

I don't know why people love this saga so much. Maybe I'll have to read the books to enjoy it because the movie is BAD! It really is a bad movie. I was expecting your average cheesy story and I was actually in the mood to watch something like that but it's not even a good cheesy movie! The acting is beyond disgusting... Robert P is one of the funniest actors ever... but wait... this isn't a comedy! The story is interesting but I felt like the movie was made for people who read the book because everything happens very fast and... whatever... it sucks!

I absolutely wouldn't recommend anyone to sit through what I sat through... It was a dull, boring movie ridden with teenage uncomfortable, ummms, ahhs, nervousness and biting of lips. There was no dialogue but a complete waste of time. I can appreciate a movie for entertainment sakes but this wasn't entertaining... where were the vampires? There was nothing vampire related in the movie at all... the characters weren't even appealing or made me like them. I definitely won't see the next movie nor read any of the books. Thumbs down... YAWN!

Although the movie presents a simplistic version of the love story in the book, this is to be expected. Rich in detail and emotion, the book was able to convey more excitement than this movie but I thought the characters were well chosen and there was something about them that drew you in. The movie may seem cheesy and at times, incredible, but it's part of the fantastic genre. I recommend this movie for all females who dream of a prince charming out of the ordinary and who love to be enchated.

This was a very enjoyable movie. I know people who went and saw it 4 -5 times! It was not as good as the book but what can you expect. The fact that it is a vampire movie I know bothers some people but I do not believe it is what most people assume, twilight is a much more based on romance and I think girls/women are drawn by Edward simply because his character is such a gentleman.

There was so much hype about this movie, but it turned out to be just OK. The acting was quite poor but it wasn't a bad story line.

A good film, the character development was weak in this one, just tried to hard to set up the story for the sequel, so hopeful the characters will gain more depth in new moon.

Very good storyline... however I still cannot get over the fact that this could have been done so much better. I wish this story wasn't written by a Mormon, and the movie wasn't directed by a bad director. It could be sooo much hotter and sexier and that part just frustrates me! Must read the book before watching this movie, otherwise I think anyone over the age of 12 would find it very immature. Even still I found I had a smile on my face the entire time.

I didn't want to see it at all, but my friend brought me anyways. I kind of liked it, but not the stunts or whatever. Has anyone noticed you can see the "Vampires" in the mirrors?

Before reading the novel I watched the movie first. I thought that the movie was well done and it made me fall in love with Twilight. But after reading the novel I was very dissapointed in how little the movie represented the novel. I really hope that the director for New Moon will try to make the movie almost identical to the book! All in all I really love the series and I cant wait to see all the movies.

Well, at first I was like: oh my god. Best movie ever! But now that I've seen it a few times I realised that it was very slow. I was ashamed of how they picked Taylor for Jacob and what's with the long hair? Anyway, Rob did a o.k. job, Kristen was quite bad but Asley Greene was amazing! (a. k. a., Alice Cullen) Well, it's worth seeing, can't wait to see what they'll do for New Moon!

It was an okay movie. I read the books which is the main reason why I watched the movie just to see if they matched up well. I think they did the best they could but it could have been better.

Could be much much better, the movie is made for teenage girls, and they are the ones who mostly like it, pretty lame, but not too too bad, it's a pass for me, but I'm still glad I waited for the DVD.

Slow story, not enough action/fighting scenes between the vampires. There was only one scene and it was short and not exciting at all. When the movie ended, I don't even recall any significant scenes or anything much happened. I'm quite disappointed after a high expectation from the feedback for this movie. I think this is more for highschool students to watch.
