The writer and Director have clearly seen Forest Gump, and obviously enjoyed it because this movie was trying too hard to be like Gump. Unfortunately it missed on all accounts. I'm still trying to decide what the main message of the movie is. I think the writer had too many views about life and tried to pack them all into one movie. Nevertheless, I'm sure it'll get a bunch of Oscars because it's the type of movie the Academy loves. Safe, sentimental, family friendly with mega stars.
