Hey, if a free enterprise doctor wants to opt out of the public system go ahead, and their patients can go ahead and opt too for that matter. But this same doctor shouldn't expect the public system to subsidize private enterprise, and patients shouldn't be able to jump in and out as they please, which is exactly what is proposed. Its corporate welfare and elitism and I don't support it under any guise. No, I don't think its better to wait months, but it doesn't have to be this way and for the most part it isn't. Canada has a good system and we can make it better if we so choose to demand it from our politicians. It's our politicians that have been influenced by business lobbies to create problems in the system so that Canadians are fooled into thinking that something else might be better. Fortunately Canadians are smarter than this... What about you simm_3? Finally, I have had family with cancer and suspected cancer and both had excellent outcomes within our public system.
