The Kingdom is a well-filmed and well-acted action flick that doesn't overreach. It doesn't try to be something it isn't, and with the exception of the last few minutes in the denouement, is interesting throughout. Don't expect the deep political insights some other reviewers have offered. This is an action flick with a quasi-political pretext.
