Hilarity incarnate. Not the same type of spoof we're used to (eg. Scary Movie, Epic Movie, Date Movie, Spaceballs, etc.), but a much more subtle spoof. Rather than lift scenes and story points from other action flicks for it's spoofery, Hot Fuzz mimics the style of your average Michael Bay blast-a-thon (camerawork, sound effects, music, choreography, etc.) and employs it in a cute, little English village. It's over-the-top chaos with a lot of clever verbal humour to go with it. I loved it, and I especially loved seeing Timothy Dalton hamming it up.
